The Central Organizer of MQM USA while addressing a gathering in Houston, openly announced supporting Masroor J Khan for councilman seat in Houston city elections whereas based upon their individual programs and policies towards immigration, taxation and employment, MQM USA also supported certain candidates including Mr. John F Street for Mayor of Philadelphia, Ms. Toddy Puller for Virginia State Senator (Northern Virginia
36th district) and Ms. Kris Admundson ( Northern Virginia 36th district) for Virginia Delegate.
It is indeed a matter of jubilation, pride and satisfaction for the MQM United States that all four candidates supported by our organization have succeeded in their elections and they openly recognized the efforts put by our remarkable workers. MQM United States wholeheartedly congratulates all the workers involved in the electoral process including Mahfooz Haydri, Salalh Uddin, Muhammad Taqi and other members from MQM Philadelphia Unit, Uncle Riaz Siddiqui, Tauseef Khan, Amir Siddiqui, Navaid Hussain and other workers from MQM Washington DC unit, and Syed Najmi, Adnan, Mohsin, Arsalan, Khalid and others from MQM Houston Unit. Mr. Masroor J Khan will have to face the final round of polls on December 06, 2003 as the remaining candidates are already out of race and first and second position holders Mr. Khan and Mr. McConn both have faced a run off.
