MQM USA Los Angeles celebrates 32nd Foundation Day of MQM

Media & Communication Wing MQMUSA: 19 March, 2016 - Los Angeles chapter organized Youm-e-Tasees (Foundation Day) of MQM on Sunday 19th March. The venue was none other than 'Karachi Restaurant'.

On a day that was marred by Pakistan Cricket team’s lost its arched rival India, the chapter members remained enthusiastic as this was the celebration of the memories when MQM came into inception.

Welcoming the audience Chapter in-charge Shahzad Syed started the proceedings by inviting Hamid Baig, a senior and ardent member of LA chapter. His speech, one that was eloquently delivered with an affirmation of steadfast loyalty to QeT Altaf Hussain galvanized the audience.

It was Masroor Javed, a renowned poet, writer and philanthropist, and a long time MQM supporter who highlighted the need to save Urdu, literature and its values for which MQM as movement have worked hard and has manifested in its convictions to keep Urdu alive. Masroor Javed suggested that there should be an Urdu Conference to promote the ideology and philosophy of QeT Altaf Hussain.

Adnan Naqvi, long time MQM worker and former member Central Organizing Committee updated audience with the MQMUSA Annual convention in July.

Adnan Nqavi emphasized on increasing the activities of MQMUSA. He urged audience to stay connected with the news from MQMUSA.

Samin Faruqi, President Karachi Club insisted that the workers and supporters of MQM stay united. He also urged the audience not to pay attention to the defectors in Karachi who are nothing but disgruntled individuals.

Wasim Zaidi, former LA Chapter in charge, and member Central Organizing Committee spoke about the importance of observing the Foundation Day. He said MQM was founded the very day when someone spoke about the truth, when someone defended the right to say the truth. When first time man was pronounced equal in rights: When someone talked about the rights of people. That was the day when MQM was founded.   

The chapter members took part in the cake cutting ceremony followed by conclusion of the evening.
